Mountains soaring to fourteen thousand feet greet the visitor to Colorado’s Rockies. Two of these giants can be driven to in the summertime – Pikes Peak and Mount Evans. Other times of the year, catch the cog railway to the top to appreciate the courage and tenacity of it’s climbers. Hiking clubs guide newcomers to the tops of some of the other 50 plus “fourteeners”. Skiing, snowboarding, ATV’ing, rafting, and just sightseeing are all exciting and rewarding ways to spend a day in the mountains.
